Jokowi Prohibits Going Home, This is a Sanction for Still Daring

Finally President Joko Widodo banned the homecoming which will take effect on April 24, 2020. This decision was taken based on a survey study from the Ministry of Transportation. There are 68 percent of respondents who decided not to go home in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, there are still 24 percent who insist to remain going home, and 7 percent who have gone home to their destination. Jakarta PSBB Extended, No More Tolerance, All Violations Will Be Acted

DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will increase discipline or enforcement in the second period of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in DKI.  If in the first period of the PSBB, from April 10 to April 23, 2020 violators were only given a warning and education, in the future enforcement would be tightened.  The action will be carried out by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in collaboration with the Jakarta Metropolitan Police and the Jaya Military District Command. According to him, action needs to be taken because there are still many people and companies that do not heed the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's prohibition during the PSBB.
